I started using Twitter back in November, since then I've begun to love it. What started out as a love hate relationship it's allowed me to network with people in my industry alot easier. News and updates happen in real time which makes for a great social communication app.

Thanks Mark! It's really a matter of deciding whether you want to or not. Gaining 10,000 followers is not hard. However, as I've written, it does affect your Twitter experience. If you just like chatting with close friends, then maybe you don't need to... but if you want other things, then it might be the thing for you.

Wow, I can't imagine how overwhelming these things would be for me. I'm really a newbie for now with only about 100 followers and I doubt I'll ever really reach these milestones because I'm not actually that active on Twitter. But it's interesting to read about your experience with it over time. I find those weird retweets a bit amusing :)

Thank you, Diana, for the kind words! "Not the same league" as me, come on, with 9,000+ followers I would hardly call you a novice :)

I'm also still relatively new in the Twitterverse - however, I am extremely active and spend a lot of time there.

Great article Udi! Even tho I am not in the same league as you; I can relate to much of what you are saying from personal experience. I am still a newbie in Twitter land; just 4 months and over 9000 followers.
I really noticed how I have become almost overwhelmed with some of the stuff you say happens. Not much on a negative level; I will now know how to deal with it should it happen. Thank you!
