My personal feeling is that ‘public’ tweets should be limited. So if you just tweet in general with random stuff like ‘I’m having a drink’ then that should be limited. However if it is a reply to someone it’s almost certain it’s a ‘wanted interaction’ and not spam. Equally if there are a few back and forth then it definitely is wanted because it’s clearly a conversation! Tonight for example I was in a conversation with 5 other users. The volume of tweets was massive and I’m currently in twitter jail. This has happened in the past, in fact, I’ve never been twitterjailed under different circumstances!

Limiting the number of tweets isn’t a problem, I understand that, but under circumstances such as mine and yours I think it’s just silly!

I’m a frequent flyer in Twitter jail. I have over 1000 followers and I do my best to reply to each one. I had a 1000 follower party and was jailed twice as I attended to my guests.

Maxing out your twitter updates? Damn! That’s what I call dedication. LOL! My tweeting habit is very irregular and inconsistent.

Sam, that’s a very logical assumption. After all, why should there be any limitation? It’s not like tweets are a resource that should be rationed and it doesn’t make sense for a site to limit its own usage when its competitors/equivalnets (Facebook, for example) don’t have such limits.
