Tell me about it. Music/movie downloads, medical e-books, pictures/albums ALL GONE with the crash. It was just another sad day in the life of Udegbunam Chukwudi. ;-)

HAHAHAHA. It's a long story. My laptop crashed and I had to build my rss reader subscriptions from scratch. If it hadn't been that I had subscribed to comments on this post, i wouldn't have remembered your blog again cos I had over 50 of them in my reader.

I'm back anyway ;-) and I hope life's s good as it gets on your end.

@Terri Nakamura: lol. I might just be guilty of that cos whenever I publish a post on my blog, I automatically send out a tweet beginning with RT @sonlinebiz.

I guess I never thought it was annoying. I'm definitely going to stop ;-)

Hey Terri,

First - thanks! :)

I've originally written this post in October. I'm pretty confident I can write a new one with a list as large considering the time that has passed.

You make an interesting point - I actually never thought of it. I wonder whether it does affect measures such as Klout.

By the way, as I've written in my second edit.. this is the post that introduced me to Darren. If it weren't for it, I wouldn't be in SM201, and we wouldn't have met!

Udi, one of my pet peeves is when people retweet their own names. Sometimes it necessary for context, but other times it just strikes me as odd because it can really get out of hand. My belief is that people who practice retweeting themselves regularly are just trying to boost their own presence on Twitter, skewing the metrics that measure popularity. I'm just sayin'...

Thanks Vince! Yeah, some of these scripts are absolutely annoying - almost as if they were designed to be so (though I doubt that's the case).

Hey Dude Dean - great "meeting" you last night!

I also used Truetwit for one day. I don't understand why they force both functionalities together: if you register to be "authorized" by the system, then it also checks everyone who tries to befriend you. These are two separate functions, and there really is no reason not to be able to pick one...
